About Us
Who We Are
Lyrical SoNGbirds is a friendly ladies choir based in Wollaton, Nottingham, celebrating the beauty of female voices in rich four-part harmony. Founded in 2012, we bring together singers of all ages and backgrounds in a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment.
All voices and abilities are welcome. Rehearsals have a relaxed atmosphere, and we always have a break halfway through — a great chance to chat and get to know everyone.
We learn new music every term, covering a varied repertoire — from timeless classical pieces to popular songs, musical theatre, and traditional folk music.
We love to perform for our community. From garden parties to Christmas concerts, and from nursing home visits to charity fundraisers, we bring our harmonies to audiences across Nottingham.
Rachel Atkinson — Musical Director
Rachel joined us in January 2025 and brings a wealth of experience, musical knowledge, and boundless enthusiasm. She produces learning tracks for every song so members can practise at home.
Judy Holborow — Accompanist
Judy is a valued member of the choir, always on hand with her skill, support, and humour. Her piano playing is the backbone of every rehearsal and performance.

- When: Tuesdays, 10:00am – 12:00pm
